Research on Emotional Intelligence

From 23rd until 25th of October 2012, David Ryback consulted the researchers of the iCom project in group sessions and small discussions. He showed how his approach towards emotional intelligence in business could meet the need for bringing person-centered communication in a work environment. Also, he gave practical examples for applying specific measures in the ICT field, and consulted the iCom-PhD students in their research.

The concept of “emotional intelligence” is based on the Person-Centered Approach by Carl R. Rogers, can be seen as an adaptation in a specific environment: the business world. David Ryback created and teaches practical guidelines for managers on how to develop their deeper self as a leader in order to meet new demands for an emotional aware leader in a more and more transparent business world. In an interview with the newspaper "Kurier", David Ryback said: "People are afraid of being open and listening closely, because they are afraid of losing their own agenda. The past decades, leaders had to be strong and competitive."
