 IDEAS BEHIND THE WORKSHOP:
Increasing costs?

Exceeded deadlines?

Issues due to undefined requirements and releases?
Did you experience these or similar problems in your IT projects? Likely, these problems are caused by a lack of communicative effort in the project and the team!
Are you interested in sharing your experiences and cooperatively find solutions? We offer you the opportunity to examine challenges and issues in projects with representatives from the universities and from other companies!
Since January 2011 the University of Vienna (Austria) and the Masaryk University in Brno (Czech Republic) are working together in an EU-funded project to build up an additional course offer in the doctorate studies “Computer Science” and “Business Informatics” with a focus on “International Constructive Communication in the Context of ICT”.

These additional courses aim on strengthening communicative competences and support employed PhD-students with their practical dissertations. To link practice and research, an intense cooperation and networking between companies and universities is strived. To enable sustainable relationships, so-called “iCom Practice-Research Workshops” are regularly held in or around Vienna and Brno. In these workshops participants can share and discuss challenges and practical issues and cooperatively search for solutions.
